Retreat to Bali with Erin Rogers and Jessica Taylor

Erin and I are so excited to create and share this retreat in Bali with you. We are cultivating a retreat that will be full of intentional practices that begin as soon as you sign up. We will hold a space for movement, discussion and other practices to occur that will allow us to cultivate awareness of our patterns, empower us in our choices and move us towards being a more authentic and content being. 

We will be staying at the gorgeous Villa Tanah Shanti in Ubud, Bali. Relax amongst the rice fields and jungle views while enjoying gorgeous accommodations, a beautiful fully supplied yoga shala, two pools, on-site spa, and delicious food.

Chilling in Creativity: A Special Workshop

Please join me for this special collaborative workshop as I join together with two incredible women to create an experience where there will be time to bask in relaxation, introspection, giving and receiving, as we look at exploring some aspects of dharma and karma. 

I felt compelled and pulled to teaching despite being so shy I could barely get in front of people and speak complete sentences. I do believe it is part of my life's work and purpose. When I meet other's that have followed in their own passion pursuits, I want to help lift them up and share them with new people they may not have encountered. 

This restorative/yin style practice will be accompanied by the beautiful music of cellist Jean Gay. There have been studies that show benefits of classical music ranging from decreased stress/anxiety/blood pressure levels to increased creativity/productivity to helping with sleep and pain. There has also been research into the benefits of learning to play instruments as we get older in regards to memory and mental functions. 

You will be surrounded by the beautiful artwork of Meagan Jain. I met her when she was a former student who exuded an unending passion for working with the 'elderly'. She founded the nonprofit 'Ageless interAction' whose mission it is to bridge the age barrier and support all of us in the process of aging through creative arts. Her love of giving back is vibrant and evident. Her artwork and mural work is outstanding. 

I would love to have you join us in this sensory experience where hopefully you can begin to forge a deeper connection not only with yourself, your truth, and your own creativity, but others who are working to serve the community and create change as well.

Free Flow @ Velo (Earth Day)

Join me for what could be the first of a weekly event! 

I'm finding yoga in the city becoming more cost prohibitive and corporate and I'd like to bring it back to being about the community. I'm teaming up with a local small business, Cafe + Velo, to bring you a free weekly class. We'll be trying one on the weekend and one on Wednesday mornings at 7am. 

Cafe + Velo will be unveiling a new menu in addition to their yummy crandwiches and they have either a lovely patio or rooftop deck for us to practice on. Bring your yoga mat. Would love to see you there.

Budokon Warrior Workshop

Budokon Warrior Workshop

This will be a 3 hour workshop where we will explore an introduction into the primary yoga series of the Budokon system. We will also be working preparation in the modalities of mobility, animal locomotion, and calisthenics as they relate to the series. 

'Budokon' broken down translates to the way of the warrior and we will use this workshop to work towards finding a balance between our inner yogi and our fierce warrior.

Movement and Music Workshop

I have had dreams of a yoga practice with live instrumental music for years. I am excited to partner up with the talented Atlanta based musician, Wesley Cook, for this workshop. He lives his life with a mindfulness and awareness that I believe will be utterly congruent to this offering. I would love for you to join us in a special vinyasa style practice followed by an extended cooling off and shavasana. 

There has been research and studies into some of the healing benefits of live music. It has been shown it can affect certain neurotransmitters, for example, those that affect our feelings of happiness and stress among others. Like my other workshops, there will be time after the physical practice to reflect upon the experience, document in journals that I will provide if you don't have your own, and to share with one another as a community.

Yin Yoga Sound Immersion Workshop

This will be a very special workshop that will combine an introspective Yin practice accompanied by special guest, Joshua Roberts. You will explore sensations of the body while experiencing thoughts, feelings and emotions of the mind. While on this journey you will be bathed by sounds that Joshua will create with didgeridoos, Aboriginal woodwind instruments, medicine drums, amongst others and you will get to take in some of his own specialized singing. 

Like my previous two workshops and the one that follows this, you will be given a journal if you do not have one of your own. There will be time after the immersion, and during this one as well, to write down anything that comes up for you. We will also have time to chat and commune with one another after as well. 

I invite you to explore possibly a new type of practice for you if you have not practiced Yin Yoga before. If you have, I am delighted to introduce in live sound, especially the types that I find will vibrate you to your core!
